Ruth works as a Recovery Tutor. In her role, she draws on lived experience of mental health issues to deliver training around recovery values and principles.
With a masters in Linguistics, and Speech and Language Therapy, Ruth also has over six years’ teaching experience, and voluntary work in the health and education sectors, including at the Alzheimer’s Society. She is a Dementia Friends Champion, delivering information sessions to raise awareness about dementia and create Dementia Friends. She also works as a speech and language therapist and is passionate about supporting speech, language and communication in children and adults.
She believes everyone has a role in creating and maintaining hope in recovery, and is keen to learn about and share the many things that can help recovery.
